For homework this weekend you will have 2 activities to complete on conjuguemos. If conjuguemos asks you what a Spanish word or sentences is, please type the English so for example if conjuguemos asks you what is this Lo pasamos bien you would type in english we had a good time.

The first can be found under practice zone and it's called 1. Realidades 3 - Chapter 1 Sandal verbs . Please complete this activity for 100 attempts. This is the last group of irregular verbs that we need to review. Please come prepared next class to talk about why these verbs are irregular.

The second activity can be found under the quiz zone tab. Please complete the quiz and do not forget to submit your answers! If you do not submit your answers you will not get points for the quiz. This is a quiz and will be graded as a quiz. What ever score you get on the quiz will be the score that will go into infinite campus. One will only have one chance to take the quiz. Please make sure you study before you actually take the quiz. If you did poorly on the written quiz that we took in class this could be a chance to redeem yourself!!!!!!!

El pretérito de los verbos con los cambios e → i, o → u en la raíz

Stem changing -ir verbs in the present tense also have a stem change in the preterite tense. The changes are e → i and o → u and take place in the Ud. / él / ella and Uds. / ellos / ellas forms only.

Here are the preterite forms of pedir, sentir, and dormir:

pedí pedimos pediste pedisteis pidió pidieron sentí sentimos sentiste sentisteis sintió sintieron dormí dormimos dormiste dormisteis durmió durmieron

Other verbs like pedir (i) and sentir (i) are: divertirse, preferir, sugerir, vestirse.

Another verb like dormir (u) is: morir.
