Spanish 3 Wednesday 2-17-10 Period 6

If you did not present you will next class! If you were not in class the day we began the presentations your absences better be excused. If it is not excused the best you can get on your presentation is a 50 out of 100. Don't forget to have visual aides to help you present! Pictures of food works. Don't forget you need a recipe card! The only thing you should use while you are up in front of the class is your props and recipe card.

We will have our fiesta Next week. Period 7 will bring their food on Tuesday the 23 and 6th period will bring their food on Wednesday the 24th.

Task:

You are a guest on a television cooking show and will be
explaining to the audience how to prepare your favorite
dish. Explain what the ingredients are, the main steps for
preparing it, and what utensils you need.

Prepare:
Bring in samples of the main ingredients and
utensils you need to prepare your dish. (You might want to
select a recipe that isn’t too complicated!) If you prefer, you
may bring in pictures instead.
If possible, prepare the dish
ahead of time and bring in a sample for the class.
Make a recipe card like the one to the right to help
you organize your presentation.

Practice:
Go through your presentation several
times. You can use your recipe card when you present. Try to:
• include the ingredients and utensils needed
• describe and show the preparation in clear steps
• speak clearly
