Today in class 9-22-08

Today in class we studied the irregular group verbs in the preterit. This verbs are special because they do not have accents and they have their own special endings. It does not matter if the verb is an AR, ER, or IR verb it will carry one of the following endings depending on the subject. Notice they do not have accents.

-e -imos

-iste -isteis

-o - ieron “j-eron”

Some verbs have irregular stems in the preterite.

The verbs decir and traer also have irregular stems in the preterite.

*Note that the Uds. / ellos / ellas endings for decir and traer are slightly different from the verbs listed above.
